Introduction: “I Like It. What Is It?” is a letterpress poster by the British designer Anthony Burrill, made in Rye between 2004 and 2011

The design and the maker: The poster is a woodblock letterpress print on recycled paper, with the words in black on orange.

The user and the theory: Buyers are mainly design enthusiasts, collectors and creative studios, along with shops, galleries and workplaces that hang prints to brighten a room. In everyday life the poster works as a small interruption. Passing it on a wall, a viewer reads a question and pauses to supply their own answer.
